Norway's Pladask Elektrisk don't make things in volume, and they don't make things conventionally, and the Fabrikat is the clearest expression of that ethos. Hand-built in Bergen, it's a 100% inorganic, experimental multi-effects processor featuring 16 algorithms focusing on granular synthesis and modified sample playback; covering granular time stretching, pitch shifting with time stretching, freeze and shuffling effects, glitching sample playback, and a beat repeater. It's designed for use both as a guitar pedal and as a tabletop device, as some of its algorithms reward live parameter adjustment.
